1671 Acadian Census: in addition to the habitant, his occupation, his wife, and their children, the 1671 Census also records the following information: the number of cattle owned; the number of sheep; and the frontage in arpents of their land.

- St. Jean Baptiste, Annapolis Royal, 1702-1755: The Nova Scotia Archives have digitized and indexed the original parish records. Use the Search Box at the bottom of the page to search for the surnames of those named in the parish register. After you have clicked on a particular entry in the register, you will be taken to the original image in the register.
- Ile Royale - Louisbourg Original Parish Records - 1722-1738: The New France Archives have digitized the original parish records for this period.
19th and 20th Century Records
